My mom's 20 year reunion was this weekend so all of us (including a close friend) jumped in the mini-van and went to Orange County! My mom and some friends had a whole weekend set up full of mimosas and photo booths, while Eli and I hung with the grandparents.
My grandparents are so lovely. They decided to take me out shopping RIGHT when we got there! My grandma (we call her Bum) has always been this type of person:
Me: "Oh, this is cute"
Bum: "Oh my goodness, that would look adorable on you! Get one in every color."
And I never let her do that. I don't want to spend more money than I have to! Actually, I like to say I am a pretty good shopper. I always go straight to the back of the store, to the clearance.
But this time, I just let them buy me things.
AND IT WAS GLORIOUS!
^ I almost bought these overalls. I was on my way to the fitting rooms and saw them and grabbed them. I said to myself "If they fit, I'll get'um"... Sadly though, I grabbed an extra small, which pull and squished in all the wrong places. But still blog worthy.
^ Then we all went to dinner, and then went home. The next morning we got up early and got ready for church. We love to go down to see Allison sing at church!
After church, we drove home.
And to our surprise, there was a crazy storm! The streets were like rivers and the sidewalks were completely gone. We passed a street where a police car was parked sideways to cut it off. A car decided to drive right passed the cop, and completely splashed the cop car. Then the cop turned on their lights and chased him down. It was hilarious.
