UPDATE: I learned how to make gifs! Very exciting. For now, here is a video of me doing a backside carve at Arvada Skate park, in Colorado.
For the past week or so, I've been visiting my dad in Colorado. Trying to post something with pictures is pretty darn difficult using someone else's computer. As I was trying to find the pictures that I had sent to myself, (I sound like an old person, being so confused about computers) I came across a picture of little me! I'm sure my mother will get a kick out of this! The picture looks kinda creepy, doesn't it??
As for my trip so far, it's been great. I'm absolutely horrible at capturing the important moment in a trip though.. But, I'm really great at getting silly pictures in front of trees and Polaroid-looking pictures of my legs!
Two very random pictures. Also, don't I look drunk in this picture?
But really I've had a wonderful time. I've got to spend time with some grandparents that I rarely get to see, and it's always lovely to see my dad! This summer vacation has been really great!!!
I have started to think about life again, though. Even though I still have a week left here, I have to start preparing for HIGH SCHOOL! That's scary! I have show choir camp in about 2 weeks, and I'm nervous for that. I had to bring in some paper work like, four months ago, and I still haven't. Not because I'm irresponsible, it's because I lost the papers!!! (I guess that's pretty irresponsible, huh? Stop judging me!) But I really am sad summer is going to be over soon!
To be honest, this post really has no point. Just an update on my life right now. becoming a freshman is the biggest thing going on right now. I want to take some photos during my first year, and then post them all at the end! Have a "My Freshman Experience" post later on. Yeah, that would be cool!
And finally here, we have a fun spectacle! Three generations of Rolfs's! (left to right: Grandpa Dave, my dad, and me)
So it all started by flying up to San Francisco and visiting the city + my family. On Sunday morning (bright and early at 7 am), we drove up to Tahoe.
On the 4th of July, we drove up to the top of Boreal and watched the fireworks on Donner Lake. The only picture I got was of this very American stranger:
Plus, I got to skate with some girl pros! (Alana Smith, Mimi Knoop, Cara-Beth Burnside, and Samarria Brevard!)
And when the week was over (besides feeling totally sad), I got to meet my mom and brother and drive to Yosemite! I'd never been there before!
We got lost in Yosemite and that added about 2 hours onto our road trip, but finally we got home! (:
And now I'm at the skate park, again
