Palm Springs is one of the most famous vacation destinations in Southern California. I have lived here for 4 years, and I still ravish in its beauty every morning. The sun rises in the east and creates beautiful shadows on San Jacinto. I especially like it here in the spring. It's already in the 90's, but there are beautiful clouds and occasional rainstorms.
Palm Springs also has so many cool things to do. The most popular is taking the tram ride to the top of San Jacinto and seeing the stunning view of the whole Coachella Valley. Joshua Tree is 30 minutes away, and Big Bear snowboarding is 2 hours away. Also, every April, there is a sudden surge of traffic in our little town. Hipsters and girls with crop tops roll out of vehicles to remind us that Coachella season has begun. This brings a flurry of excitement, and an opportunity for everyone to take a break from life and go see some amazing artists. Before I moved here, I never thought of visiting. But, if I were you, I would definitely add Palm Springs to my bucket list to come see this awesome town.

5/13/2015 1 Comment The Right Way To Play HookieThe day began with me sleeping until 8 am, thinking I had to go to school. Later on, my mom and I decided I could stay home from school and go to work with her. So, we left for the hotel, and I spent my day poolside with fries and a book, and took in some vitamin D. After we got home, we really wanted to make a tee-pee (or something) in the backyard. We had all this scrap wood and plenty of fabric laying around, so we did it. All together, it probably took about 4 hours to make. The hardest part was getting the frame up and steady. We plan to put some lights and a couch in it, too. I'm very excited!
This day was also a nice break from the routine. Sometimes when I skip school, I lay in bed and watch netflix all day.. But this was a necessary adventure to remind us what a cool world we live in! |
